Shower water damage

A homeowner in North Hollywood, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch after she noticed water leaking from her bedroom ceiling onto her carpet. The leak damaged the ceiling, wall, carpet and padding. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch started by removing the base, carpeting and padding and placed a dehumidifier to stabilize the environment and begin drying materials. We set up containment in preparation of removing damaged materials to protect the homeowner from excessive dust. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch then removed the drywall wall and ceiling, door and window trim and insulation. After removing materials we found mold growth and began mold remediation. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch wire brushed the area, HEPA vacuumed and applied antimicrobial solution. After detail cleaning the area, we sealed the cavities with plastic. This homeowner was thrilled she could now contact her contractor to complete the repairs!
