Pipe Burst Water Damage

A home owner in Chatsworth, CA called SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch after she noticed the flooring in her living room was cold and beginning to buckle. After a plumber repaired the pipe in the wall he also found visible mold growth within. SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch began by setting up containment and placing dehumidifiers to stabilize the environment and begin drying the walls and floors overnight. Upon return, we began removing the wet flooring and contaminated plaster walls. Next, SERVPRO of Chatsworth/Stevenson Ranch wire brushed the wood studs and applied a disinfectant. After detail cleaning the living room, we covered the floors with plastic and sealed the cavities in the walls.  Now that her home was clean and dry she could call her contractor to come finish the job!
